Rhyll

Boats at Rhyll

Get back to nature at Rhyll, home to migratory birds, koalas and native vegetation, before indulging in city-quality food and wine.

Village escape
Discover the haven of Rhyll's sheltered port as experienced by early explorers like George Bass. These days you can wine and dine in the village, which features a full range of accommodation, general store, restaurants and cafés, winery and trout fishing farm.

On the water
Set sail on a hired boat from Rhyll, with its excellent all-tide boat ramp, slipway, two jetties, yacht club, angling club and sailing school.

Laze around the foreshore, making use of the barbeques, amenities and nearby tennis courts.

Wildlife wonders
Explore the internationally significant Rhyll Inlet and Conservation Hill to see migratory wading birds that have flown thousands of kilometres to feed around the tranquil salt marshes, mangroves and tidal flats. View koalas from raised boardwalks at the Koala Conservation Centre. See the island's forests as they used to be at Oswin Roberts Reserve.
