Weather conditions can change dramatically. Bass Strait is notorious for its sudden squally southerly blusters and unforecast changes - carefully assess conditions before undertaking water based activities.

Dogs are sensitive to paralysis ticks found in coastal areas of East Gippland, so search your dog daily. Ticks range in size from a few millimetres to the size of a small fingernail. If a tick is found, remove using a pair of tweezers or long fingernail, do not crush or squeeze tick when removing, then contact a veterinarian for advice.
