National parks and reserves
Victoria has more than 100 parks and reserves throughout the state, which cover more than 4.1 million hectares, or approximately 17 per cent of the state.
Victoria's parks and reserves provide an ideal setting for any outdoor pursuit, from adventure activities, to bird watching, bush walking and photography. Explore alpine, desert, forest, coastal, outback, bushland and urban landscapes.
The Department of Sustainability and Environment manages state forests and other public lands.
