Red Hill and Main Ridge

Red Hill Estate

Hidden in the Mornington Peninsula's green and beautiful hinterland, Red Hill has created its own distinctive country style. Traditional orchards sit side by side with a growing number of vineyards, while cellar doors and excellent restaurants offer everything from shared plates to fine dining.

Hillsides are laced with vines and olive groves, and quiet country roads reveal gourmet producers and farm gates, day spas and art galleries, cosy B&Bs and 5-star country house hotels. The famous Red Hill Market sells local produce, art, craft and more on the first Saturday of the month (September to May).

Activities and attractions

  • Taste renowned pinot noir, pinot gris and chardonnay at many cellar doors (take the shuttle service or a personalised wine tour instead of driving)
  • Call into Red Hill Cool Stores and Red Hill Cellars for fresh local produce and artisan foods from MP Gourmet members
  • Pick your own berries at one of many farms including Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm and Ellisfield Farm for cherries
  • Visit local producers including Red Hill Cheese, Red Hill Brewery and Red Hill Baker for chardonnay and pinot noir wine bread
  • Dine out at winery restaurants such as Max's at Red Hill Estate, Vines of Red Hill, 10 Minutes by Tractor and Montalto Vineyard and Olive Grove.
