The National Gallery of Victoria has announced extended opening hours for the final week of the Salvador Dalí: Liquid Desire exhibition. On Wednesday 30th September, Thursday 1st October and Friday 2nd October, Salvador Dalí: Liquid Desire will be open until 9pm for art after dark. Visitors can see the exhibition and enjoy free entertainment, a glass of wine and a bite to eat. And in a first for the Gallery, the NGV will open for 24-hour Dalí on Saturday 3rd October when the exhibition will be open all night. Visitors will also be able to enjoy dinner in Persimmon Restaurant on Saturday night or come in for breakfast from 6am on Sunday 4th October. To coincide with 24-hour Dalí, visitors between midnight and 10am can take advantage of a 2-for-1 ticket offer. Salvador Dalí: Liquid Desire is the first comprehensive retrospective of the work of Salvador Dalí ever to be staged in Australia and is exclusive to the National Gallery of Victoria as the sixth exhibition in the Melbourne Winter Masterpieces series. The exhibition brings together more than 200 stunning works by Salvador Dalí in all media including painting, drawing, watercolour, etchings, sculpture, fashion, jewellery, cinema and photography. Salvador Dalí: Liquid Desire is organised by the National Gallery of Victoria with the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí, Figueres, Spain and the Salvador Dalí Museum in St Petersburg, Florida.
