Lara Food & Wine Festival

See our celebrity chef whip up an assortment of tasty dishes at the Lara Food & Wine Festival to be held on Sunday 28 March 2010. 

Joining ur chef will be the festivals special celebrity host. The festival showcases local produce, including local wine and cheese makers, producers of olive oil, organic produce growers, honey farmers and many more.

Festival goers can gather delicious goodies from the exhibitors and enjoy a leisurely lunch on the lawns of the historic Pirra Homestead. A local icon, the Pirra Homestead was built in 1880. 

Pirra’s colourful history includes being an institution for inebriates, a girls home and most recently an artist’s colony. Following years of inactivity, the homestead has now been lovingly restored. Pirra’s doors will be open so festival goers can take a sneak peek at the restoration. 

The Lara Food & Wine Festival operates from 10:00am until 4:00pm on Sunday 28 March 2010 at the Pirra Homestead, 110 Windermere Road, Lara, Melway Reference 423-C2.
