| These guys claim to have been the first pizza parlour in Australia back when they were still called Toto's in 1956. There is much water under the bridge since then, but what counts is that their pizzas are still incomparable. It is also one of the most authentic-looking pizza restaurants in town, with distressed brickwork supporting old world wooden beams, unobtrusive lighting throughout and sandy tiled floors. The menu combines equal parts traditional Italian pizzas and gourmet variations. Smoked salmon with olives, capers and onion to start might be followed by devilled spatchcock or a simple pizza all'amatriciana. There is plenty of seating outside on Grattan Street on a warm night and it is wonderfully romantic for couples.
