Apollo Bay Backpackers

Located in Apollo Bay, halfway along the Great Ocean Road, this small and cosy home away from home hostel with separate cottage for double/twin rooms, offers the perfect place to relax and explore the area.

Surrounded by the Otway National Park and with a vast mostly deserted rugged coastline, the three kilometres long Apollo Bay beach is a great place to swim, surf, relax and makes Apollo Bay the ideal location to make your base.

You can reach our hostel via V.Line train/bus service or tour buses will drop you off and pick you up from our hostel (contact us for recommended operators). The hostel is located 500 meters from shops and the sweeping three kilometres long Apollo Bay main beach. V Line bus stop is 500 meters or phone for pick up.

The hostels fully equipped kitchens/dinning areas are supplied with free herbs and spices and tea and coffee available 24 hrs a day will meet your culinary needs. The main hostel has four and five bed dorms and a cabin suitable for families. Separate cottage houses our private rooms or our two bedroom self-contained apartment.

The hostel has BBQs and a large garden setting to relax in. Internet access and skype available. Local travel and what to do information and advice plus free booking for local activities available. Surfboard and wetsuit hire for guests.

The many drives and walks in the nearby Otway ranges and the Cape Otway Peninsula featuring waterfalls, rugged coastline, deserted beaches, rainforest walks, surfing and many other water sports make Apollo Bay a great place to stay.
